It's been a while since I played any (2010-2011 I think) but there were some really great ones back then. Seen as you liked Amnesia: The Dark Descent, it might be worth checking out some of the custom campaigns. Can see you've played DEHR, have you played the original? I loved DEHR but the original beats it hands down in every aspect (story included) They also never sacrificed gameplay to tell a story (which many games are guilty of). Nothing groundbreaking, but both games had stories that were just told well, had solid characters and just did interesting things (they weren't plagued with clichés like most games). And the game is so much fun too! Alien: Isolation was a close second. Wolfenstein: The New Order had, for me, the best story of last year. It might not be thrown in your face while playing, but that game has tons of story on offer. Bleak, tragic and often harrowing, but great nevertheless. I actually missed a lot of it while playing, it was only when I started reading the wiki afterwards I realised how much subtle story there was. The story might not seem obvious at first, but Dark Souls actually has an incredibly deep and expansive story which is really interesting.
